Fire Emblem Engage: Gifts Guide - Best Gifts for Each Character

Every character in Fire Emblem Engage has different liked items and items they will refuse. Almost every character will like a Spirit Gem as a gift, so it’s a strong choice if you’ve got nothing else.

Of course, giving gifts to allies isn’t the only fun thing you can do in the Somniel. In fact, you can use your amiibos to unlock some rare and exclusive items!

Each character will offer up one of the same four responses to your gifts. They will either give you a delighted response, a happy response, a refusal response, or an upset response.

Either of the first two is positive and will continue to build up your relationship with them. The refusal response occurs when they don’t like the gift and, therefore, won’t take it.

The only way to get an upset response is to offer them Horse Manure. It will, unsurprisingly, make them quite unhappy.

You can get gifts in Fire Emblem Engage by finding sparkling areas scattered across the Somniel. Additionally, you can purchase them from the Flea Market when it opens.

The sparkling areas will give you a randomized gift, and the Flea Market will carry very limited stock. So, you’ll want to search the Somniel for gifts the majority of the time.

Don’t hold back on collecting these sparkling gifts. You may not get another chance to do so, thanks to Fire Emblem Engage’s surprising lack of story routes.

The sparkling areas look like a small collection of golden stars that hover above the ground. When you go near them, the option to interact with them will appear.

You’ll find them in practically all areas of the Somniel. Additionally, they’ll replenish after a period of time, so you won’t have to worry about running out of gifts.

To buy a gift in Fire Emblem Engage, you need to unlock the Flea Market. It will appear in the Somniel during Chapter 12.

The Flea Market opens during the main story, so you can’t miss its grand opening. It is the only location that sells gifts, making it the most reliable way to get specific gifts.

You won’t have to wait an excruciating amount of time to reach Chapter 12. However, due to Fire Emblem Engage’s surprising length, it may take you a while before you unlock the Flea Market.

The gifts stocked by the Flea market will change sporadically. So, it’s worth checking back every once in a while to see if there is new stock.
