This is the perfect pattern for improvers and will look lovely in your kitchen

Yarn crafts like crochet and knitting have seen a huge rise in popularity in recent months – and the projects make lovely additions to your home.

And if you're not a crochet novice – if you know the difference between a granny square and a double crochet – then a homeware craft project is a great way to improve your skills.

This lovely floral tea cosy is guaranteed to prompt compliments from family and friends. Work through the crochet pattern below and you'll have a pretty new accessory to keep your tea warm in no time.

The pattern uses green and cream yarn for the base of the cosy. You can then use any colour you like to make the flowers – meaning this pattern is a great way to use up scraps of yarns from other crochet and knitting projects.
